Mhada Online Application Form 2012 Dates

Online applications start date – 3rd May 2012. Time: 2p.m.
Online applications end date - 25th May 2012. Time: 6p.m.

Important Notes

The application forms should not be submitted at the Mhada Office.

Mhada never appoints any individual/ organization for the purpose of securing a flat in the lottery. Hence, any person/ organization who claims this should not be trusted.

All winners are required to pay for the stamp duty of the flat as fixed by the State Government.

Basic amenities such as electricity would take some time to be addressed as these issue pertain to the local authorities

Actual possession of the flat would be handed over to the winner only when he/ she produces the tax receipts

Income Group Classification

(b) Lower Income Group (LIG): Rs.8,001 to Rs.20,000/-

(d) Higher Income Group (HIG): Rs.40,001/- and above

Around 2,593 flats will be up for sale through the lottery on the 31st May. Majority of these are located in Mira Road ( around 1726 flats ) and the remaining 867 are spread across Sion, Kurla, Borivli and the charkop region.

Also, the flats winners are expected to pay around 3.09% as VAT and 1% service tax as an additional cost besides the cost of the flat.

Note - The Bombay High Court order on Thursday, 10th May 2012 has restrained Mhada from selling 1% of the flats. These 1% flats would be reserved for the disabled. Mhada has also been asked to alter the definition of disabled. Currently, there were 2,593 flats that were going to be auctioned on May 31.
