If you are asked a question, “Which is the largest bank available in India”, then what will be your answer?
The answer will be, without a doubt, State Bank of India. This is the largest government sector banks available within the country. Naturally, the flow of job opportunities are much higher if compared with its competitors. There are plenty of job and recruitment opportunities available within the SBI for people of different age and qualification. But, there are normally no walking interview procedures that go on with this banking sector. The interview is conducted in a systematic approach, preceded with a written test. Confused, and not getting the concept cleared? Well, let me explain you with a bit more detailing.

Whenever, there is recruitment and vacancy opens up for any post or group of posts, then the news is published on some of the leading newspapers. The news is mostly published in the jobs and recruitment section of the newspaper. The website where the application form will be available is also given. If one is interested, then he/she needs to login to the respective website in order to download the application form as well receive further information regarding the job. The application form need to be filled up properly and then should be submitted online. But before filling and submitting of the application form, it is essential to deposit an exam fee as instructed in the website. The deposition of the fee should be done through either of the two ways: (i) mentioned bank deposit through challan and payment slip or (ii) demand draft in favor of the mentioned name.

Nowadays, the first method is mostly method as manual submitting of the form through postal procedure is not considered as an extreme convenient way. Rather, online submission of application form is much more fast and reliable. And this can take place only with the first option of exam fee deposition policy. The pay slip (or challan) will consist of a number which needs to be entered correctly while filling up of the application form. After filling up of the application form in the correct way, you need to submit it by clicking the “submit” or “enter” button (or tag) available at the bottom of the page. As soon you click, an acknowledgement slip appears before the screen which is required to save in the computer. You should get a printout of this acknowledgement slip. This slip should be retained till the time of the examination. The admit card will be delivered to your given residential address within time before the examination. The admit card will also be available online in case a candidate fails to receive it through postal manual way within the required period of time.

The CENTRAL RECRUITMENT and PROMOTION DEPARTMENT is mainly responsible for conducting all the recruitment examination as well finalizing procedure for candidates on various departments. The entire recruitment procedure for clerks and officers are arranged and conducted by this department.

Not only recruitment procedures, this department is also responsible for the promotion of an employee working with the SBI. They also conduct the in house tests and activities required for private assessment of the employees.

Among the wide array of jobs available with the State Bank of India, the most notable ones are for the post of Probationary Officers (PO), Customer Relational Associates, Clerical cadres, Assistant Managers, etc. For each and every category, separate written examination gets conducted. And the results of each examination are displayed on the SBI website after a certain period of time. If your name gets selected in the list, then you need to proceed to the advanced steps as per instructed in the website. The advance steps will include interactive interviewing sessions, verification of documents, etc. You will be required to pass these stages also in order to achieve the job.

As you successfully complete all these procedures, you will need to undergo a training sessions for a particular period of time. You need not have to pay any sort of amount for this. Rather, you will be getting a stipend or even a certain amount of salary during this session. Once your training is completed, you will be appointed as an employee in the State Bank of India under the desired post. However, job posting can vary from person to person. You may not be posted in your home town. There are so many SBI branches available all over India. Therefore, it is upon the bank authority to choose the job location for you. Every job of SBI is transferable. You need to work at a particular branch for a certain period of year and then is transferred to another branch at another country.
