| Rajasthan Housing Board or RHB instigated its operations on 24th February 1970. The Rajasthan Government formed the Rajasthan housing board in order to cater to the growing housing demands of the state. It is an autonomous body responsible to construct and maintain decent housing solutions for everyone within the state.
The initial phase of the Rajasthan Housing Board included activities in around 7 cities of Rajasthan. Till date these have expanded to over 55 cities. The main areas of activity of RHB as directed by the Rajasthan Govt. include construction of new houses, developments of housing colonies and all basic amenities like roads, community parks, district parks, water supply, sewerage, electricity supply, and more. |
