Noida Authority Plots Draw 2005, that was canceled by the Supreme Court mere two days after the announcements begins afresh from 5th November 2008. The Noida Draw of Plots was countermanded due to alleged rigging revelations.
Noida Authority Plots Draw 2005:
In July 2005, the Draw for allotment of 1, 250 residential plots in sectors 44, 46, 47, 48, 51, 52, 54, 71, 72, 82, 90, 93 B and 122 of Noida was held. There was alleged bungling in the Preparations for the List of Applicants. This led to cancellation orders by the Supreme Court of India.
Noida Plots Draw 2008:
The Noida Authority announced the restart of the Plots Draw after a 3-year hiatus from 5th Nov'08 through print advertisements. An order from the Allahabad High Court directed the Noida Administration to tighten the security in and around the venue of the Draw of Plots - Noida Stadium.
The security arrangements made included, extra police personnel from Meerut, Ghaziabad and other adjoining administrative blocks, Special CCTV Cameras at all strategic locations and more. Mr. L B Patnaik - Chairman, UP Power Corporation and Mr. Himanshu Kumar - IG, Registration undertook the supervision and observation of the Noida Authority Plots Draw 2008.
