Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad was formed in the year 1869 in the ruling period of the Nizam who constituted the department for maintaining the basic infrastructural facilities of road and transportation. Under the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation act, 1955 a separate Municipality was created for Hyderabad.
