Punjab govt. approves 27 mega projects including 18 housing projects

Punjab Government informed that the 18 housing projects with an investment of Rs.5295 crore approved included the projects of M/s ELDECO Infrastructure & Properties Ltd. for Ludhiana & Jalandhar; M/s Unitech Ltd. for Mohali; M/s Silicon Constructor Pvt. Ltd. for Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana.

The spokesman said that during the meeting Capt. Amarinder Singh clarified to all the developers that 10% of the total area of these projects would be dedicated to construct houses for economically weaker sections and these houses would be allotted/ sold at a price to be determined by the State Government. Capt. Singh also informed that no investor/ developer would be allowed to sell the plots till such time he gets the statutory approval of site plans from PUDA/Chief Town Planner.
