Appaswamy Real Estate Ltd. is a component of Appaswamy Group of Companies founded in 1958 by Sri S. Appaswamy. The earliest construction works by Appaswamy Builders include many constructions in and around Chennai (then Madras) and a township at Sri Shankar Nagar, Pallavaram.
Since then, there has been an enviable upward growth that has given the stature of the most recognized name in Chennai real estate to Appaswamy Real Estates. The group engages in building status residential housing units for the middle class well within their budgets.
A new feather in the cap was added in 1991 as a 3-star hotel called "The Residency" in Chennai. Appaswamy has given another "Residency Hotel" to the city of Coimabtore.
