Chhattisgarh Housing Board

Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) is a municipal sector commission of the administration of Chhattisgarh. This board is constituted in stipulations of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Act, 1972 (No. 3 of 1973). After the division of the State of Chhattisgarh in November 2000, Housing Board was one of the numerous Corporations liquidated by the administration. Later, the management in 2004 revised its previous decision and created Chhattisgarh Housing Board vides Notification No. 177/3236/32/2003 dated 12-02-2004. Chhattisgarh Housing Board is the main division of the Chhattisgarh Government for accommodation Policy. The center of Chhattisgarh Housing Board is on implementing the Government’s scheme beneath communal housing.

Chattisgarh Housing board has been established under the state Housing board act. The main function of this board is to look after the general improvement of the city by construction of houses and by removing slums. They are well known for improving the sanitary conditions in order to safeguard the public health. This board was organized with the sole motive of providing housing accommodation to the in need society at a reasonably priced rate. They are engaged in activities like erection of houses beneath the integrated and compound accommodation schemes and allocation of buildings under Lower, Middle and higher income group category. This housing board is well known for the erection of shops, business complexes and multistoried buildings. They are to be offered on rent in order to extend fiscal assets of the board. The main aim is to ensure dwellings along with essential support infrastructure for its entire people and to provide shelter to all the homeless rural families at a subsidized rate. They are also known for assisting the citizens of the state for a secured affordable dwelling.

This housing board removes all the legal and governmental barriers for a robust housing activity in the state. They are known for mobilizing wealth and hence ensure increased investment in housing by promoting partnerships among groups and local government institutions.
