ING Vysya Bank was formed by the merger of Vysya Bank Ltd. India and ING of Dutch origin during late 2002. However, Vysya Bank was established way back in 1930 in Bangalore. It was also the largest private sector bank in India in 1985. ING Group originated in 1990 from the merger between Nationale - Nederlanden NV the largest Dutch Insurance Company and NMB Post Bank Group NV giving it the name "Internationale Nederlanden Group" or ING.
ING Vysya Bank presently provides 626 outlets besides Internet banking, mi-b@nk and phone banking service for customer care. ING Vysya Bank Ltd. now boasts of a global identity with an international presence in over 50 countries and 75 million customers. ING Vysya Bank can duly be called the first Indian International Bank.
