- Officers belonging to the All India Services (AIS – Karnataka Cadre) serving in the state of outside the state and who have the minimum of 2 years of domicile before the date of the notification are also eligible.
- If any individual or any member of the family already owns a site (residential or commercial) by BDA or Co-operative Society that is registered under Karnataka Co-operative Society Act, 1959 are not eligible to apply for any further sites.
Criteria for selection of applicant for the allotment of sites
The criteria for selection of the applicants is purely based on the seniority that is also based on number of earlier attempts, category, age, average annual income of the applicant if you are applying for EWS sites or houses.
Different Categories considered while allotting sites
Schedule tribe 3%, backward tribe 2%, schedule caste 13%, State Government employees 10&, Defense persons and the family members who have expired in action 10%, Central Government staffs & public sector workers 8%, general public 50%, physically handicapped 2% and people who have done exemplary services in the field of arts, science and sports 2%.
Sanctioning Authority for building plans
The engineering unit of the Bangalore Development Authority can approve all the building plans. The applicants have to submit all the relevant documents as prescribed by the BDA.
