The History of State Bank of Hyderabad

Hyderabad State Bank originated as the central bank of Nizam State, in 1942, during the period of Nizam of Hyderabad. It also dealt with Osmania Sicca (which is a past currency) that had its own currency during the British Empire. In 1956, it was merged with Hyderabad’s Mercantile Bank and renamed as State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH).
